Build-and-sell concept deferred,

SEREMBAN: The Government has deferred the build-and-sell concept, said
Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan. “Developers
are finding it difficult to secure loans from banks for their projects
because banks feel the risks are greater,” he said.

Landslip damage taken care of

THE developer of the Damansara 21 project has released a statement regarding
the landslip, which occurred in Lorong Setiapuspa 1, Medan Damansara, last
Wednesday. In the incident, a retaining wall collapsed during a downpour,
followed by a landslip at 4am due to soil erosion from the hill near the
Medan Damansara area.

with many issues at their low-cost flats, which they said stems from an
irresponsible developer who does not provide satisfactory services. “Our
problems include irregular and dirty water supply, shoddy maintenance work
at our flats, lifts that don’t function well, and not having a playground,
field and community hall even though they were supposed to be provided by
the developer,” said Petaling Utama PJS1 Residents Association (RA)
assistant secretary M. Sugumaran.

back in 1986 when Bandar Utama was being developed. The rubber and oil palm
trees of Ephingham Estate belonging to the See Hoy Chan Group were being cut

requirements for public amenities were incorporated and approved.
