property owners in Bukit Sentosa

THE Hulu Selangor District Council (MDHS) has given a 70% discount on
assessment rates for shoplot owners in Bukit Sentosa 2 and Bukit Sentosa 3
in Rawang since last year. The discount was given because business
property owners are unable to rent out their properties as their buildings
have been vandalised over the years.
MDHS president Tukiman Nail said the council understood the situation of
the property owners.
“These owners have to service their bank loans but they have no revenue
from rent. Today, we had a second meeting with them at our office to find a
solution to this problem.

“It is estimated there are about 2,000 business property owners in the
area are facing the problem,” said Tukiman, during the meeting with Kumpulan
Bukit Sentosa 2 & 3 Property Owners pro tem committee at his office on
Thursday.
Committee chairman Androo Sung said property owners were attracted by the
developer’s claim that the township would mature into another Petaling Jaya.
“But now it has turned into a ghost town,” he said.
“People were lured to buy properties here as the advertisement showed
that this township would have good infrastructure, interchanges,
hypermarkets, office, shopping and business complexes, university and
education hub.
“Now, all the property owners can do is to watch their dream houses,
shops, offices and factories turn into ruins as they are vandalised by
thieves who steal railings, copper materials and any other metal items.
“We just want this place to be revived to what it was originally intended
to be and MDHS as well as the state government could help make this
happen,’’ said Sung. |
