Developer gets one week to replace
faulty switch

THE developer of the Desa
Serdang flats has been given a week to replace a faulty main switch which caused a two-day blackout that affected 150 residents
last Thursday. Serdang MP Datuk Yap Pian Hon said the developer, Ampang Ukays Sdn Bhd, had failed to replace the switch despite
advice from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

abandoned hotel project. The proposed high-rise budget hotel project poses
a serious hazard to passing road users and pedestrians as conditions seem

crisis more than a year ago.

HOUSING developers
in Kedah who fail to implement projects from now on will not have their applications for new projects approved, said Menteri Besar
Datuk Syed Razak Syed Zain. He said such housing developers would be blacklisted by the state government and their failure to
implement the projects would also be reported to the Housing Developers Association.

tempatan menyegerakan proses pengeluaran Sijil Layak Menduduki (CF) bagi
projek itu kerana ia sudah boleh diduduki Oktober lalu. Mereka berpendapat

Lawyer: Water caused Highland Tower collapse

KUALA LUMPUR, Thurs. - The lawyer for developer
Highland Properties Sdn Bhd told the High Court today that water was the
major cause of the collapse of Block 1 that killed 48 people on Dec 11,
1993. In a written submission to the court, counsel A.D. Rajah said it was
a fact that Block 1 had collapsed after a prolonged period of heavy rain
which contributed to a landslide.

details of housing developers and their approved projects on its website. Minister Datuk Ong Ka Ting said the move would enable
