The landmark ruling of the Court of Appeal has to a degree levelled the
playing field. Since the establishment of the Tribunal for Homebuyer Claims
(the Tribunal) on Dec 1, 2002, many aggrieved buyers brought their cases
before it and had been successful in being awarded compensation from their
    developers.

TIME and time again we read of failed property development in the country
that leave buyers high and dry. And the authorities, in most cases, only
seem to come to the aid of helpless property buyers after the media
    exposure.
