RESIDENTS of Jasmine Towers in Jalan SS2/72, Petaling Jaya are worried about
the safety of their apartments. In 1999, soil erosion at the Sungai Penchala
riverbank sank part of the building's walkway. Developer Muda Bahagia Sdn
Bhd repaired the damage.

were reported to the developer three months ago but, nothing has been done
to rectify the problems. MAY says she lodged a complaint with the developer

to suspend the 0.25 per cent levy imposed on construction projects to help
ease the industry's financial burden following a nine-month labour shortage.
The Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (Rehda) also seeks to

Development Board (CIDB) to reimburse the industry for losses accrued by
