After 17 long years of waiting, 62 buyers of the 1-storey terraced homes
in Taman Bidor Intan in Bidor, Perak, finally moved into their "new" homes
in May last year. While most of the abandoned projects revived or being
revived by Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SPNB) range from 10 to 15 years
old, Taman Bidor Intan takes the cake. Not surprisingly, it was among the
earliest projects to be revived by the company.

Klang: The Selangor government will help Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd to
speed up the revival of 86 abandoned housing projects in the state. The
projects, most of which are in Klang, Kajang and Petaling Jaya, were abandoned
by their contractors 15 to 20 years ago. "We no longer want to see the buyers
suffer," said state executive councillor for housing Datuk Mohd Mokhtar
Ahmad Dahlan after handing over keys to the buyers of the Pangsapuri Permai
