Waller Court residential units earmarked for redevelopment

IPOH, Sat. - Residential units at Waller Court flats will make
way for a new redevelopment scheme which will create more opportunities for
commercial and cultural activities, Datuk Bandar Datuk Talaat Husain said.
Although eviction notices had yet to be served to tenants, he said that City
Council had identified the area for redevelopment because its structure was
becoming almost uninhabitable.

summon Pulau Kembar Sdn Bhd, developer of Pulau Melaka, for failing to ensure
public safety along the bridge from Melaka Raya to Pulau Melaka. This
is following eight cases of people who drowned after falling from the bridge

Villas in Port Dickson developed by Cempaka Mewah Sdn Bhd. The condominiums
were completed in early 2000 but up till now the buyers are unable to occupy
the premises because no Certificate of Fitness has been issued. I am now burdened
with monthly bank instalments. Can Sri Hartamas (the project's special administrator)
or the Port Dickson Municipal Council speed up matters?

he will be looking into this request whereby buyers will receive some form
of compensation should the properties they purchase fail to be completed on

a new strategy to accelerate the construction of low-cost housing to provide
more opportunities for the lower-income group to own quality and affordable
houses. The strategy will allow the ministry to determine the needs for low-cost

THE stalled Menara Kuda Lari project in Jalan Lumba Kuda, Penang, is
expected to be completed within six months following the appointment of a
project manager. Project receiver Lee Jong Ki said the developer Ever
Noble Sdn Bhd had entered into a project management agreement with Januari
Properties Sdn Bhd on Sept 9 to resume construction of the medium-cost
apartments.
