Phase Two in Lorong Syed Putra Kiri, Kuala Lumpur picketed against Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Dr Ting Chew Peh
outside their homes on Saturday afternoon. About half the number of the 174 buyers turned up to show their displeasure with the
Minister for his alleged lack of action following the expiry of the July 17 deadline issued to the developer, Zamrud Properties
Sdn Bhd, for completion of the project.

to charge Cristal-Land Sdn Bhd and a director of the company in court next month, comes more than eight months after a series of

Rubble walls near Highland Towers not properly designed

KUALA LUMPUR, Mon. - The improper design of the rubble walls built to
support the hillslope terrace behind one of the Highland Tower blocks was
the cause of a landslide, killing 48 people, the High Court was told today.
Consulting geotechnical engineer Prof N.E. Simons from Surrey, United
Kingdom, said the weakness of the rubble walls was the fundamental cause of
the landslide.
TNB: Developer did not pay deposit

deposit from the developer of a housing scheme in Sepang. TNB's head of customer solutions department Celine Lee said the TNB
Bangi regional office was yet to receive any payment from the developer.

Housing and Local Government Ministry would be more proactive and be the
