Rintihan pembeli yang berasa tertipu, terpedaya atau dikecewakan oleh pemaju kerap kedengaran. Awal tahun ini Kementerian Perumahan dan Kerajaan Tempatan mengumumkan ia menerima 1,135 aduan daripada pembeli rumah di seluruh negara tahun lalu, meningkat 54 peratus berbanding tahun sebelumnya. Aduan itu membabitkan rasa tidak puas hati pembeli terhadap mutu, kelewatan penyerahan, kelewatan sijil layak menduduki (CF) dan pemaju atau kontraktor melanggar pelbagai perjanjian jual-beli. Sebagai timbal-balas kepada pengumuman mengenai aduan berkenaan, empat badan penggerak program perumahan negara mengadakan perbincangan meja bulat ketiga Mac lalu.
