SENTUL: Persatuan Pembeli Hartanah Sentul Raya (PPHSR) bercadang mengambil
tindakan undang-undang terhadap pemaju sebagai tindak balas terhadap pemaju
yang memaksa mereka menjual balik hartanah yang dibeli. Menurut Pengerusi
PPHSR, Moideen Kutty, pembeli bersetuju mengambil tindakan undang-undang

YTL Corporation Bhd`s property arm Taiping Consolidated Bhd expects to
launch the stalled RM1.3 billion Sentul Raya mixed development project in
Kuala Lumpur in February or March. YTL Corp managing director Tan Sri
Francis Yeoh Sock Ping said the group, which became the majority shareholder
of Taiping Consolidated whose subsidiary initiated the project, resumed work
on it last May.

THE Seri Iskandar new township project about 40km from Ipoh, which was
abandoned in the early 1980s because of recession, will be resumed in March
next year, Perak Public corporations and Industries committee chairman Datuk
Junus Wahid said yesterday. The project developer, Sri Ringgit, will
initially build 500 low-and medium-cost houses on a 80ha site while an
industrial site on another 80ha, he told reporters in Ipoh. The township,
expected to take between four and five years to build, will have, among
other things, schools, shophouses, offices and a sports court. Datuk Junus
said all 129 factory sites at the Pangkalan industrial area had been sold,
of which 89 were foundry-based and the rest furniture factories.

yesterday urged to solve the problems faced by buyers of half-completed
apartments at Skudai Villa Apartments and shoplot owners at the Skudai Plaza.
Khoo Kong Ek (BN-Skudai) said construction of the Skudai Villa Apartments,
which started in 1996, was halted a year later when the developer was
declared bankrupt.
