Hartanah Sentul Raya (PPHSR) bercadang mengambil tindakan undang-undang
terhadap pemaju sebagai tindak balas terhadap pemaju yang memaksa mereka
menjual balik hartanah yang dibeli. Menurut Pengerusi PPHSR, Moideen
Kutty, pembeli bersetuju mengambil tindakan undang-undang terhadap
syarikat pemaju berkenaan yang menyebabkan pembeli mengalami kerugian
besar.

Taiping Consolidated Bhd expects to launch the stalled RM1.3 billion
Sentul Raya mixed development project in Kuala Lumpur in February or
March. YTL Corp managing director Tan Sri Francis Yeoh Sock Ping said
the group, which became the majority shareholder of Taiping Consolidated
whose subsidiary initiated the project, resumed work on it last May.

(PPHSR), meragui kebakaran bangunan terbengkalai, Villa Perhentian di Jalan
Perhentian, Sentul dekat sini dilakukan oleh penagih dadah dan meminta ia
disiasat. Presidennya, Moideen Kutty berkata, agak sukar mempercayai penagih
dadah terbabit dalam kebakaran itu kerana bangunan yang terbengkalai sejak
tujuh tahun lalu, berpagar dan dijaga rapi oleh pegawai keselamatan.

SENTUL Raya Property Buyers' Association is calling on Datuk Bandar Datuk
Mohmad Shaid Mohamad Taufek and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department
Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, to help ensure that part of the original
KL Master Plan stays. Association president Moideen Kutty said buyers were
unhappy that the original master plan which included the preservation of
the Sentul golf course was not adhered to. Many of them were promised the
golf course when they bought condominium units there in 1995.

be given a new lease of life. The purchasers' protem committee was given
the green light to be the receiver and manager of the abandoned project,

21, 2001.

THE Seri Iskandar new township project about 40km from Ipoh, which was abandoned
in the early 1980s because of recession, will be resumed in March next year,
Perak Public corporations and Industries committee chairman Datuk Junus
Wahid said yesterday. The project developer, Sri Ringgit, will initially
build 500 low-and medium-cost houses on a 80ha site while an industrial
site on another 80ha, he told reporters in Ipoh. The township, expected
to take between four and five years to build, will have, among other things,
schools, shophouses, offices and a sports court. Datuk Junus said all 129
factory sites at the Pangkalan industrial area had been sold, of which 89
were foundry-based and the rest furniture factories.

THE State's special committee forreviving abandoned housing projects was
yesterday urged to solve the problems faced by buyers of half-completed
apartments at Skudai Villa Apartments and shoplot owners at the Skudai Plaza.
Khoo Kong Ek (BN-Skudai) said construction of the Skudai Villa Apartments,
which started in 1996, was halted a year later when the developer was declared
bankrupt.

KORAKYAT Plantations Sdn Bhd has been given the go-ahead by the Kuala Lumpur
High Court (Commercial Division) to rehabilitate the abandoned Taman Perindustrian
Subang Mewah in USJ 1 in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The court has sanctioned
the arangement between Korakyat and the purchasers. The arrangement was
devised by the liquidator for the scheme - Ler, Lum & Co - under Section
