Such were the dream homes and lifestyles that were promised by Emville Golf
Resort near Sepang. But nine years on, more than 700 purchasers of the project's
phase one bungalow lots are getting weary that their investment was going
down the drain.

PROPERTY developer Emville Sdn Bhd may have gone into liquidation but the purchasers of Emville
Golf Resort bungalow lots are still claiming their rights as spelt out in
the sale and purchase agreement. This was decided by the purchasers' pro-tem
committee at their first meeting last Sunday.

lurch when the developer failed to deliver their unit as promised. "I bought
a condominium unit costing RM168,000 in January 1995 and it was to be ready
in 1998. We recently learnt that the developer, Kumpulan Promista Development

Ivory earmarks RM70m to revive Fettes Villa project

PENANG-based Ivory Properties Group
- which is eyeing a listing on Bursa Malaysia's main board by the end of this
year - is targetting to revive the abandoned "Fettes Villa" project on the
island in three years. The company's managing director Datuk Low Eng Hock
yesterday said the company has earmarked between RM60 million and RM70 million
to revive the project, although this does not include construction costs.

as the Certificate of Occupancy is expected to be issued in two weeks. Housebuyer
P.K. Ng, 67, said she had received a letter from the developer stating that
vacant possession had been issued and the buyers would receive their keys
after making the final payment of RM10,000 each.
