SEREMBAN, Khamis - Fasa satu dan dua pembinaan loji rawatan sisa toksik bernilai RM353 juta di Bukit Nanas, Port Dickson yang terbengkalai sebelum ini dijangka beroperasi sepenuhnya pada tahun 1998. Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad berkata, beliau berpuas hati dengan kemajuan pembinaan loji di kawasan seluas 58 hektar yang kini dilaksanakan mengikut jadual.

ISLAND & Peninsular Berhad has refuted claims by Taman Kinrara Phase 3 residents that the hilly area between Jalan BK 3/6 and Jalan BK 3/5 where medium-cost apartments are to be built was meant for a multi-purpose hall. A spokesman said the Selangor State Town and Rural Planning director had approved the construction of a 278-unit apartment block with a building height of between five and 15 storeys for the area.

IPOH, Khamis - Kerajaan negeri menerima beberapa permohonan daripada syarikat swasta yang berminat menyambung kerja pembangunan perkampungan perabot di Pengkalan, dekat sini yang terbengkalai beberapa bulan lalu. Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Perindustrian dan Pembangunan Usahawan negeri, Datuk Junus Wahid, berkata kerajaan sedang meneliti keupayaan dan cadangan syarikat pemaju terbabit sebelum dilantik menyiapkan projek berkenaan.

Housing complaints 13/12/1995 NST
THE Housing and Local Government Ministry received 1,003 complaints between 1985 and 1994 by housebuyers about defects to buildings, its Deputy Minister Peter Chin Fah Kui said. Replying to Vincent Lim Kuo Phau (BN-Petaling Jaya Utara), he said 148 of the complaints were received last year. He also said that almost all the complaints were made within the liability period. To another question, Chin said the Government was still studying the proposal to extend the liability period.

Kontrak pemaju gagal siap projek ditamat 14/12/1995 BH
MELAKA, Rabu - Kerajaan negeri menamatkan serta-merta kontrak sebuah syarikat pemaju kerana gagal menyiapkan projek pembinaan rumah kos rendah di Alor Gajah, dekat sini. Ketua Menteri, Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Abd Ghani, berkata sebarang kontrak baru kepada syarikat berkenaan juga tidak akan diluluskan.

THE developer of nine apartment blocks in Phase 3, Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, has been given a month to prepare an access road to the project site. Perumahan Kinrara Bhd will have to stop using Jalan BK3/6 fronting the site and a row of residental houses, except to ferry machinery to prepare the access road, Jalan BK3/7.

Malacca ends contract for low-cost project  14/12/1995  NST
MALACCA, Wed. - The State Government has terminated the contract of a developer for failing to implement a privatised low-cost housing project in Lubok Redan, Alor Gajah. In explaining the decision, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Abdul Ghani said today the project has not progressed according to the schedule although the house-buyers have paid their progressive payments.

PENANG, Sat. - Housing developers in Penang must not hold house buyers as "hostages" to pressure the State government into issuing certificates of fitness (CF) for their projects, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Shariff Omar said last night. He said there were several cases of housing developers in Penang highlighting the plight of their housebuyers to pressure the State government into issuing CF for their projects especially those which do not comply with the conditions stipulated by the State authorities particularly in the provision of low-cost housing units

KUANTAN, Sat. - Menteri Besar Tan Sri Mohd Khalil Yaakob said the Pahang Government had nothing to hide with regard to the outcome of investigation on the blocks of flat at Bandar Indera Mahkota, about four kilometres from here. He said the State Government would hold meetings with the Housing and Local Government Ministry on the fate of flat-dwellers once the technical report was ready.

Taman Nora residents get to keep their homes 18/12/1995 NST
JOHOR BARU, Sun. - In a special concession by the State, home owners in the controversial Taman Nora housing project in Ulu Tiram, 35km from here, have been given an assurance that their homes will not be put up for auction by Perwira Habib Bank. State Executive Councillor Adam Abdul Hamid said today he had negotiated with top officials of the bank to stop the auction of the houses with immediate effect.

Projek kampung tersusun terbengkalai 20/12/1995 HM
LUMUT: Projek kampung tersusun dan pembinaan kompleks penghulu yang dilaksanakan kerajaan di Kampung Batu 10 Lekir, dekat sini, masih terbengkalai dan tidak diambil sebarang tindakan pihak terbabit. IPOH: Kerajaan negeri menamatkan kontrak sebuah syarikat Bumiputera yang dipertanggungjawab memajukan perkampungan perabot di Pangkalan dekat sini, kerana gagal melaksanakan tugas itu. Berikutan itu, kerajaan negeri akan melantik sebuah syarikat baru bagi meneruskan projek bernilai RMl0 juta itu yang terbengkalai sejak beberapa bulan lalu.

KUALA LUMPUR, Khamis - Kerajaan Melaka dan beberapa majlis tempatan mematuhi amaran Kerajaan Pusat untuk tidak meluluskan projek kepada pemaju perumahan yang disenarai hitam demi kepentingan rakyat yang berpendapatan rendah. Kerajaan Melaka, misalnya bercadang mensyaratkan semua pemaju yang memohon projek perumahan bercampur di negeri itu menyiapkan rumah kos rendah terlebih dulu.

SETIU, Jumaat - Projek perkampungan perabot di Kampung Saujana, dekat sini yang tergendala lebih dua tahun dijangka beroperasi mulai Mac depan. Timbalan Menteri Pertanian, Datuk Tengku Mahmud Mansor, berkata kelewatan itu kerana menghadapi beberapa masalah teknikal dan terpaksa melakukan kerja mengubahsuai bangunan kilang itu.
