perumahan kos rendah di Kampung Kostan, Sungai Choh, Hulu Selangor terbengkalai
sejak 12 tahun lalu. Pengarah Urusan Ehsanibu Sdn Bhd, Ariffin Mohd Arif,
berkata projek perumahan berkenaan sepatutnya sudah dapat disiapkan jika pembeli
menyelesaikan baki pinjaman mereka.

KUALA LUMPUR: Pembeli rumah pangsa blok G Vista Angkasa, Bukit Kerinchi, di
sini terus dibelenggu keresahan apabila projek perumahan yang terbengkalai
hampir lima tahun, masih belum disiapkan. Wakil pembeli, Nordin Yaacob, berkata
antara masalah dialami 156 pembeli ialah terpaksa menanggung perbelanjaan
tinggi iaitu membuat pembayaran rumah pangsa Vista Angkasa itu dan pada masa
sama, terpaksa terus membayar rumah yang kini disewa daripada Dewan Bandaraya
Kuala Lumpur (DBKL).

IPOH, Tues. - A group of enraged housebuyers are furious that houses which
they booked and paid down payments for in 1994, have yet to be completed.
Lodging a complaint with the MCA public services and complaints bureau here,
the buyers said they signed the Sale and Purchase agreement for their low-cost
houses with the developer in August 1994.

WORK on the construction of Block G of the Vista Angkasa flats in Bukit Kerinchi
is being carried out and has not been abandoned as claimed by the owners.
A spokesman for Kien Sinar Sdn Bhd, the main contractor and co-developer of
the project, said they were left with "minimal work" to complete it.

yang pernah terbengkalai sejak 10 tahun lalu di Kampung Pandan, Kuala Lumpur,
mengunjurkan jualan kira-kira RM130 juta daripada projek terbabit dalam tempoh
tiga tahun akan datang. Pengerusi eksekutifnya, Syed Yusof Tun Syed Nasir,
berkata unjuran itu berdasarkan sambutan orang ramai terhadap projek terbabit
yang sehingga kini sudah mencatatkan tempahan pembelian melebihi 50 peratus,
sejak dilancarkan April lalu.
Doubts over

A GROUP of condominium buyers in the city have formed a protem action committee
to establish the project status and secure guarantees for its completion.
The move to form the committee was made after checks by the buyers at the
Gurney Heights project site in Jalan Bukit Keramat found no work in progress
since early this year.

economy situation, there are many abandoned housing projects," Deputy Minister

be allowed to transfer their ownership after 10 years, according to new guidelines
on low-cost housing. A low-cost unit, which had a ceiling of RM25,000 previously,
can now cost RM42,000, RM35,000 or below RM30,000 depending on its location,
land premium, built-up area, type of house, and the prospective buyer's household
income.

THE Selayang Municipal Council has ordered a developer to complete a long-
delayed access road to Taman Wangsa Permai, Kepong, within six months. Its
public relations officer, Mohd Zin Masaod, said the decision came about after

Sdn Bhd, which develops an adjacent apartment project.

THE recent statements that the campaign to expedite the application of strata
titles for high-rise buildings has been successful remind us of the long-awaited
new law relating to their maintenance. When will the legislation which the
Housing and Local Government Ministry has said should be tabled in Parliament
last October be ready? We first heard of the proposed Building and Common
Property (Management and Maintenance) Bill to give greater protection to owners
as well as to ensure proper maintenance of such buildings in early 1996. This
was splendid news to affected Malaysians and foreigners of the country's high-
rise buildings which cover flats, apartments, condominiums, offices and commercial
complexes. The number of people involved is not small considering that more
than 100 million square feet of such high-rises have been completed in the
past 30 years.

revealed that developers changed housing status without approval. MPPJ president
