RESIDENTS of Taman Wangsa Permai in Kepong are questioning the role played
by the Housing and Local Development Ministry in the sub-division of land
titles to the respective owners. The first phase of the housing project was
completed in 1994, but the residents have yet to receive their master titles
from the developer, Palm Grove Housing Sdn Bhd.
Keeping eye on abandoned projects

THE Petaling Jaya Municipal Council (MPPJ) is monitoring the six abandoned
projects in the Municipality to prevent a dengue epidemic. Council president
Datuk Mohd Nor Bador said the project sites are potential breeding grounds
for aedes mosquitoes.
Nabbed for trying to steal

SIX men were detained while trying to load metal pieces from an abandoned
project site onto two one-tonne lorries about 7pm on Wednesday along Jalan
Tunku Munawir in Seremban. Seremban OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mak Chee Onn
said the suspects, aged between 35 to 50 years, are being held pending investigations.
