KUALA LUMPUR: Bagi 63 pembeli rumah di Taman Sri Aman, Kampung Idaman, Pandamaran,
Selangor penantian 17 tahun untuk memiliki kediaman sendiri masih belum tercapai
kerana projek perumahan itu masih terbengkalai. Projek itu yang siap 85 peratus
terbengkalai sejak 1997 dan beberapa peralatan yang dipasang seperti tangga
dan pendawaian elektrik hilang kerana dipercayai dicuri.

493 projek swasta terbengkalai

HINGGA akhir 1999, sebanyak 493 projek perumahan swasta dikesan terbengkalai.
Jumlah ini membabitkan 96,247 unit rumah, 61,348 pembeli dan kos projek bernilai
RM5.72 bilion. Daripada 493 projek terbengkalai itu, sebanyak 317 berjaya dipulihkan
dan 19 projek dalam proses pemulihan iaitu diambil alih pemaju lain.

Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, the Minister of Housing and Local Government, for having
issued Press statements recently giving assurance to house-buyers that action
will be taken against errant housing developers who fail to hand over vacant
possession of houses within the time frame stipulated in the sale and purchase
agreement or fail to pay compensation for late delivery of completed houses.
I am a pensioner who booked a three-room apartment in a five-storey block somewhere
in the Subang area just before the beginning of the economic slowdown in the
year 1997.

City, near Tanjong Malim, by the Perak Government. State executive counsellor

to purchase a three-room house priced at RM35,000 in a project to be undertaken

LOCK Yahya dari Shah Alam meminta penjelasan berhubung projek perumahan yang
lewat disiapkan di Bandar Pinggiran Subang 2, sejak satu setengah tahun lalu.
Menurutnya, dia sudah membeli apartmen itu pada 1996. Mengikut perjanjian, projek
itu sepatutnya siap akhir Disember 1999. Katanya, sebagai pembeli, dia terpaksa
membayar sewa rumah yang diduduki dan pinjaman perumahan berkenaan dengan bank.
"Apakah tindakan yang perlu diambil jika pemaju gagal menyiapkan projek itu
mengikut perjanjian yang ditandatangani dan adakah saya boleh menuntut pampasan
kerana kelewatan projek berkenaan," katanya. * PENGARAH Jabatan Kemasyarakatan
Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA), Normala Mohd Radzi, berkata hasil siasatan
mendapati projek perumahan itu bukan projek terbengkalai. Bagaimanapun, majlis
tidak boleh mengeluarkan sijil kelayakan menduduki bangunan (CF) kepada pemaju
projek kerana mereka belum memohon CF bagi unit apartmen itu. "Bagaimanapun,
pembeli boleh mendesak pemaju untuk mempercepatkan proses permohonan CF dari
MBSA bagi membolehkan pembeli menduduki unit apartmen itu dengan segera," katanya.

after six years when the developer today conceded to their petition that the
housing development company be wound-up. The developer's concession follows
the landmark action by the Housing Minister to invoke Section 11(1)(d) of the
Housing Developers' (Control and Licensing) Act 1966 directing Majestic Heights,

the stalled RM1.3 billion Sentul Raya mixed development project in Kuala Lumpur
in February or March. YTL Corp managing director Tan Sri Francis Yeoh Sock Ping
said the group, which became the majority shareholder of Taiping Consolidated
whose subsidiary initiated the project, resumed work on it last May.
