KUALA LUMPUR: The proposed amendments to the Housing Developers Act have been submitted to the Attorney-General's
						office.
Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting said yesterday that his ministry was waiting for advice
from the AG's office before tabling it in Parliament.
"As far as my ministry is concerned, the job of drawing up the proposed amendments is finished,'' he said after
launching the 2001 Home Ownership Campaign here yesterday.
Ong said the proposed amendments included changes in the Sales and Purchase Agreement format and the setting up of a
						Housing Tribunal.
Buyers with claims amounting to RM25,000 or less could refer their cases to the tribunal, he said. |
