KUANTAN: Some 418 housebuyers in Taman Datuk Abdul Rashid Salleh near here
can look forward to moving into their new houses by next month, said Semambu
assemblyman Datuk Pang Tsu Ming.
Pang said the project, which had been taken over by the National Housing
Corporation Bhd (SPNB) in July 2006, had been completed.
“It was supposed to be ready in July this year, but was completed ahead of
schedule.
“If everything goes well, the housebuyers should receive the keys to their
units next month.
“I was told the certificate of fitness for occupation has been submitted and
is awaiting approval from the relevant authorities,” he said after visiting
the project site here recently.
Also present was SPNB project implementation division general manager Datuk
Ahmad Azizi Ali.
Pang said that SPNB had been entrusted with reviving the project with an
allocation of RM27mil from the Federal Government.
He said, due to financial constraints, the project was abandoned in 1997 by
the developer.
“The project comprises 816 units of shoplots and low-cost, medium-low-cost
and medium-high-cost houses.
“More than half of the units have been taken up and I am glad the
housebuyers can finally move in after waiting for so many years while
servicing their loans,” he said. |
