Pantai Panorama residents seek
resolution

Pantai Panorama Condominiums are going all out to seek remedial action by
the developer of million-ringgit homes near their area.
The houses are to be constucted at the base of the apartments, thus exposing
the supporting foundations.
With the aid of Lembah Pantai constituency office director M. Parthiban, the
residents have managed to gather all correspondence between City Hall and
the errant developer, Jana Vista Bhd.
Jana Vista is developing a gated community called Pantai Avenue with 12
semi-detached and 25 terraced three-storey houses at the foot of Pantai
Panorama Blocks 1 and 2.
"We are planning to collect the plan for Pantai Avenue as agreed in our last
meeting with the developer," said Pantai Panorama Resident Association
member Danny Ng. "In addition, we will hand over all the correspondence to
our consultants to have a look."
Ng added: "Getting a response from City Hall would definitely help. We need
to know the steps before an approval is granted to a developer before they
are allowed to start work on their project.
"Other than that, we also would like to know about the scope of the approval
to see if there has been any breach of law because the supporting slope for
the Pantai Panorama apartment blocks has been exposed."
Meanwhile, Jana Vista director Shirley Tan refused to comment further as no
date has been set for the next meeting. However, they are planning to bring
their consultants to review the site. |
