Residents of Bukit Hartamas have been waiting for three years for their
telephone lines.
CHERAS: Bukit Hartamas residents are still waiting for their telephone lines
three years after moving into their homes.
At a recent protest held at the housing scheme, they voiced their
frustrations to Kajang councillor Leong Ooi Kuan.
Leong said she had contacted the developer but had not been given a
satisfactory explanation.
"But I will push the developer to look into the matter," she said
Residents' Association chairman Ong Keng Fai, 53, said their complaints to
both the developer and Telekom Malaysia had proven fruitless.
"We finally had a meeting with them and TM representatives on Oct 25. TM
told us that the plan had already been approved and that the developer was
to install the facility," he said.
He said the association, which represented 120 houses in Phase 1, would take
legal action if the developer failed to act.
Another resident, Abu Syaham Lahil, a contractor, said he needed a fixed
line for his business.
"I need to have Internet access and I also need a telephone line to fax
documents to my clients," he said. |
