SEREMBAN: The state government wants the developer of Phase Three, Taman
Tuanku Ja'afar, Senawang, to complete the houses which had been sold to over
100 buyers.
State executive councillor for housing, local government, new villages and
public transportation, Siow Chen Pin, said the developer, Naga Sakti Sdn Bhd,
should complete the project as stated in the sales and purchase agreement.
He said the state government was not involved in the project and therefore
could not intervene as it was the responsibility of the developer to
complete the houses on schedule.
"The housebuyers have forked out a lot of money for the houses, and the
developers has not honoured its promise," he said.
Siow was commenting on a recent protest by the irate housebuyers at the
construction site demanding an explanation from the developer.
He advised developers to carry out detailed research and planning to avoid
running into problems that result in abandoned projects.
"There are 48 abandoned projects in the state and we do not want the number
to increase." |
