Owners urged to sign up
26/07/2008 NST By Naveen Mathew Menon

PUCHONG: To help them deal with problems like theft, robbery, vandalism, water and electricity cuts, and flash floods, a joint management body (JMB) will be set up for folk in the Kinrara Section 3 Business Park.

Shop-owner George Lee, who is the protem committee chairman for setting up the JMB, said: "We want full participation from the owners of these units. We want them to exercise their rights.

"We can have the best team formed and the best people to tackle the issues here, but without the support and commitment of the owners themselves, we cannot run the show."

A meeting will be held tomorrow at Pangsapuri Vista Lavender in Kinrara Section 3, Puchong, to discuss the issues.

The aim of the JMB is to manage, maintain and resolve problems facing the owners of units in the Kinrara Business Park.

Teresa Kok, the state assemblyman for Kinrara, said: "People who have been helping to deal with these problems are seeking the cooperation of the lot owners of this project because without their cooperation, they cannot function and play their roles efficiently.

"I met with Talam Group, the developer, about getting strata titles for the owners and was informed that it was under process. This is one reason why the JMB has to be formed. We hope that in future, property owners here can get their individual strata titles which will enhance the value of their properties."

. Lee said: "The location of this place is strategic but we still need good facilities. We have resolved many of the problems plaguing us including the problem of flooding."

"We have changed from bulk meters to individual water meters for properties here. We want to improve the infrastructure here to prevent floods.

"We want to collaborate with lot owners to improve security and maintain cleanliness in this area. Letters have been sent to the owners of the units to attend the meeting. We have full support from the developer."

Lee added that Sentosa Restu, a subsidiary of Talam Group, had agreed to give owners who had paid deposits for water supply, a RM500 refund. A 20 per cent discount will also be given to all parcel owners on the total outstanding bill due to Sentosa Restu when a full settlement is made.

To be eligible for the refund, the owners have to make payments before 3pm on July 27. Payments can be made at the Sentosa Restu site office at Kinrara 3 or at tomorrow's meeting on setting up the JMB.
