THE owners of the Taman Terubong Indah (Majestic Heights) Apartment (Phase
1) in Paya Terubong have formed a joint management body (JMB) committee with
the liquidator of Majestic Heights Sdn Bhd.
The 13-member committee, comprising 12 residents and a representative from
the liquidator, will now be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance
of the property.
More than 200 residents attended the first JMB meeting at the Lee Si Chong
Soo building in Burmah Road on Sunday, with Lew Hong Keat elected chairman.
The meeting passed a resolution that the building maintenance fee should
remain at RM60 per month and an 8% of interest per annum will be incurred on
late payment.
The residents also agreed that the election of committee members should be
held annually.
Also present were Paya Terubong assembly-man Yeoh Soon Hin and his
predecessor Datuk Dr Loh Hock Hun.
The project has nine blocks of 1,557 apartment units.
Lew said he would look into the problems faced by the residents.
Among the problems were social problems caused by foreign workers,
vandalism, thefts, break-ins and the unhygienic living conditions.
He added that rubbish was strewn all over the place in the area.
