SHAH ALAM: Desa Alam house buyers filed a RM4 million suit against the
Selangor Economic Development Corporation (PKNS) for late delivery of their
properties.
A total of 92 of the 117 house buyers, including lecturers and engineers,
filed the suit through Messrs N.M. Amin & Associates at the Sessions Court
registry yesterday.
They named PKNS as the defendant. In their statement of claim, the 92
plaintiffs said they purchased houses in Section U12 in Desa Alam in 2002
and 2003. The project was supposed to be completed by Dec 12, 2005, but was
only handed over in November last year.
The Desa Alam project consisted of double-storey terrace houses which were
sold between RM230,000 and RM340,000.
The plaintiffs are now seeking damages, costs and interests for the late
delivery. |
