IN
1997, about 600 of us bought three-room medium-cost apartments in Bandar
Pinggiran Subang, Section U5, Shah Alam.
Three years later, the developer
abandoned the project after collecting 80 per cent of the purchase price.
The project was later handed over to Syarikat Perumahan Negara for
completion.
Rehabilitation work on the
project started in January 2005 and was completed four months ago. We were
supposed to get our house keys in September.
There was a delay and we were
assured that keys would be handed over in October or November.
Now it's 2007. We found out that
the delay was related to the issuance of certificate of fitness by the Shah
Alam council.
The buyers find it hard to pay
rental for present houses and pay the bank loan with interest.
I appeal to the authorities not
to delay the issuance of CFs.
