Another tank comes crashing

KANGAR: Another water tank came crashing in Perlis this time in the bedroom
of the state's reserve footballer Mohd Shahabuddin Kadir in Taman Bukit
Kayangan near here, early yesterday. However, the 25-year-old player was
lucky as he was in the hall when the ISO-liter tank crashed on his bed at
about 4.30am.
"I was in the hall as the room was hot," he said.
He said he was not aware that the tank was above the bedroom of the house
rented by the Perlis Football Association since last December.
He said it was most fortunate that his wife Tengku Hazleen Tengku Hazman,
24, a teacher in Shah Alam, was also not at his home here at that time.
Mohd Shahabuddin said he was watching television when he heard a loud
crashing noise.
"I don't know what would have happened if I was on the bed. Maybe my leg
would be broken and that'll end my football career," he said.
This is the second incident this week after a similar one in Taman Hijrah on
Wednesday almost killed the Perlis Forestry Department's deputy director of
operations Nor Hafizah Mustafa, 27.
The two-month pregnant Nor Hafizah had a narrow escape when the tank above
the hall crashed. - Bernama |
