Boy falls to his death from
12th floor balcony

KUALA LUMPUR: A four-year-old boy fell to his death from the balcony of his
family’s 12th floor apartment in Taman Bamboo, Jalan Ipoh, here.
Omar Shariff Mohamad Endrew Susay was found sprawled on the ground floor by
his neighbours at 7.30am yesterday.
His body was taken to the KL Hospital and a post-mortem revealed that the
boy died of severe head injuries.
His mother Norazlin Mohd Jamil, 35, said she found out about the tragedy
from a neighbour.
She said her son woke up at 6am yesterday as the family had planned to take
him and his younger sister for a picnic at the KLCC park.
“At one point, when I saw him playing at the balcony on his own, I ordered
him to come in as I was worried for his safety.
“However, five minutes later, he went out there again,” she said, adding
that she usually locked the grille door at the balcony.
Sentul CID chief Deputy Supt Tan Yan Thien said police were investigating
the case as sudden death. |
