SHAH ALAM: The Selangor government has initiated action against three
developers who allegedly contributed towards the flash floods on Nov 11 and
Nov 25 in Bukit Kemuning, Sg Rasau and Kg Melayu Subang.
State Infrastructure and Public Utilities Committee chairman Datuk Abdul
Fatah Iskandar said yesterday: ”The Mentri Besar (Datuk Seri Dr Mohd Khir
Toyo) had instructed that the companies be duly dealt with.”
The three companies, Paramount Property Development Sdn Bhd, I-City
Properties Sdn Bhd and SJ Properties Sdn Bhd had been fined and issued with
stop-work orders.
The three developers were said to have carried out work without putting in
place necessary buffering requirements such as retention ponds and drainage
systems.
I-City Properties and SJ Properties were each slapped with fines totalling
RM275,000, while Paramount Property Development was fined RM25,000.
