Massive pipe upgrading work in
Petaling

SYARIKAT Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) is currently carrying out
massive pipe installation work in the Petaling district.
The installation will involve areas in Salak South New Village, Pekan Sg
Besi, Salak South Garden and Taman Castlefield in Sg Besi.
One of the roads in Salak South New Village where pipe installation works
will be carried out.
“The work includes upgrading old pipes to new ones and involves all major
roads of the areas concerned,'' said Seputeh MP Teresa Kok.
She added that Syabas contractors who had started work in Salak South New
Village had difficulties in certain areas as cars blocked the road during
the day.
“They are unable to carry out digging work at night as their work permit
only allows them to carry out work during the day,” she said.
Kok said that she would request that City Hall issue the contractors permits
that would allow them to carry out work during the night.
Meanwhile, the public are advised to cooperate with Syabas contractors when
they are at work.
