Bandar Puteri developer to
look into defects
The Malay Mail 17/1/2006
The developer of Bandar Puteri in Klang has assured house owners that their
complaints about defects in their houses will be looked into.
“They should forward their complaints to the residents’ association. This
way, it would be easier for us to look into the complaints,” said an officer
with IOI Properties Bhd who declined to be named. Malayapine Estates Sdn Bhd,
the developer, is part of IOI Properties.
The Malay Mail yesterday highlighted the problems faced by almost 500 house
owners in Bandar Puteri who claimed that the developer has ignored their
complaints of uneven floor as well as slanted and cracked walls.
On Sunday, about 100 residents staged a protest against Malayapine Estates.
The residents have also forwarded their complaints to Sungai Pinang
Assemblyman, Teng Chang Kim.
Teng said he would write to the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and meet with
the developer’s engineers regarding the matter.
“We have always entertained complaints regarding defects in the houses. We
have also brought in our consultant engineers and architects to help with
repairs,” the officer said.
He said that the developer has complied with the regulations set by the
relevant authorities.
