SYARIKAT Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) is re-structuring its water
distribution system in Bukit Sentosa to end regular water disruptions in the
area.
It has linked Bukit Sentosa 3 to the water supply system which caters to
households in Bukit Sentosa 1 and Bukit Sentosa 2.
Residents of Bukit Sentosa 3 have been affected by water supply cut
regularly because of low water pressure from the Taman Telipot water tank
which is supplied by the Bukit Timah water plant.
Syabas executive chairman Tan Sri Rozali Ismail said the residents only
relied on water supply from the Taman Telipot water tank which had been
managed by the developer, Maxisegar Sdn Bhd.
“Bukit Sentosa was developed by Maxisegar in 1997 and the area is divided
into three phases.
“Bukit Sentosa 1 and 2 get its water supply from Syabas through the Sungai
Selangor water plant whereas water supply to Bukit Sentosa 3 was operated by
the developer,” he said during a visit.
