Residents of Block A and B of Cemara Apartments in Bandar Seri Permaisuri
are fed up with their building management.
The residents of the 15-storey blocks claim that despite numerous
complaints, the management has done little to improve maintenance service at
the apartments.
Cemara Residents Association chairman Azmi Sukir said the association had
met the management on several occasions to air their grouses. The latest
being the maintenance fees charged.
"The management promised to reduce the fee to RM60 (from RM90) during the
construction of Block C but to date, it’s still not done."
Azmi said the management also went back on its word on parking arrangements.
"In the sale and purchase agreement, every resident was to be given one
uncovered parking lot. Those staying on the eighth floor and above can buy a
covered parking lot if they want," said Azmi.
However, residents at the eighth floor and above are now being forced to buy
the covered lots.
A businesswoman, Gurdeen Kaur, 40, said the maintenance fee is too high.
"Why should I pay more? The service is not up to mark," she griped.
Another resident, Muhd Hafiz Abdullah, said the railing wall outside their
unit is too low and dangerous for the kids, especially those staying on the
upper floors.
"When we raised the matter and wanted to install grills, the management
would not allow us," said Muhd Hafiz.
Ahmad Firdaus Mohd Hasnan is unhappy with security at the buildings.
"Bicycles have been stolen. There is no preventive action from the
management. They only tell us to lodge police reports."
Raja Shahrom Raja Mohamed, 43, a businessman, said the security guards did
as they pleased.
"When we questioned their decision, they told us that our rights are only in
our house."
Dwi Tasik Management Services Sdn Bhd assistant manager Peter Foo said the
residents should lodge their complaint with the management office. |
