IT is extremely sad to read about the state of affairs pertaining to the issue of strata titles — "A 30-year shame" and "Inertia over issues involving strata titles act a national disgrace" (NST, June 11).

I can’t imagine that buyers of property have been taken for a ride for 30 years over the issue of strata titles. It is very clear now that the State Governments and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment have not taken any action whatsoever against errant property developers.

I bought a condo unit located at Pangsapuri Puncak Damansara, Jalan Teratai, PJU 6, Petaling Jaya in 2001. The permanent certificate of fitness for occupation was issued by the Petaling Jaya Municipal Council on July 30, 2002.

I occupied the unit in 2002. Up till now, I have not received my strata title.

I have made several enquiries with the developer over the years, but have not received any satisfactory answer.
