Its councillor Wan Sun Keong said the council has identified the developer responsible.

"We will act against the developer," he said, adding the council will instruct the developer to remove the earth from the field.

He urged residents to be patient.

Wan yesterday visited the scheme following complaints. Residents association chairman Tham Pooi Heong said the earth had been dumped on the field since last month.

He said they had tried to meet the developer several times. "The developer refused to see us."

He said the residents had also sought the help of their Member of Parliament, Lau Yeng Peng.

A resident, Lau Tuck Keong, whose house is near the field, said his family had to put up with dust from the dumped earth.

He added that they were also forced to bear with the dirt spilt on the road by the lorries.
