Disconnection due to unpaid bills

We refer to the story Residents left high and dry by water cut in StarMetro, Feb 16.

Based on our investigations, the developer had failed to settle an outstanding amount of RM-49,098.20 to SYABAS.

Thus, our debt collection agent had disconnected the water supply on Jan 24 after issuing a disconnection notice on Jan 6.

After discussions with the Taman Medan assemblyman and MPPJ representatives, the water supply was restored at 3pm the same day.

SYABAS will be pursuing this claim and if it remains unpaid, action to disconnect will be taken.
