| Buyers get keys to their flats after 13 long years 19/03/2005 Malay Mail

 KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 19:

After waiting for 13 years, Taman Bukit Angkasa medium low-cost flat
buyers finally received the keys to their homes yesterday.
The economic slump in 1997 resulted in the PKNS flats
project being abandoned by Nakkon Sdn Bhd.
However, Nakkon resumed work in 2003 and it was completed in December last
      year.
Rahmah Mohd Yunus, 44, said she may move in within a week.
"I'm glad that I can finally move in to my own place," she said.

Ahmad Shaarani, 45, a cab driver, said they were frustrated when the
      project was abandoned.
"We had no choice but to pray and wait for its completion," he said.

Ahmad said he will move into his new home by the end of the month.
Yesterday, Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri
Shahrizat Abdul Jalil officiated the handing-over ceremony at the compound
      of the flats.
