SPNB completes 48 out of 176
abandoned housing projects

KUANTAN, Tues:
THE Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB), which took over 176 abandoned
housing projects since 2003, has completed 48 of them to date.
The projects involved the construction of 8,273 houses and all of them have
received the certifcate of fitness (CF) for occupancy.
SPNB chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Amin Mohd Salleh said another 22
projects comprising 9,761 units, were under construction and would be
completed in two years.
SPNB is also in the process of reviving the remaining 106 projects.
A total of 54,481 units will be built when all the 176 projects are
completed.
Speaking to reporters here last night, Amin said the Government had
allocated RM76 million last year and another RM120 million this year to help
SPNB revive the abandoned projects. |
