unhappy that some successful developers are reluctant to contribute
to school-building funds.
“Untung pun mereka kata rugi (They say they make losses
even when they make profit),” he said.

“They only think about themselves, their bank accounts and how to
make more money,” he said at the groundbreaking of SJK (C) Yu Hwa in
Taman Sri Saujana here yesterday.
Ong, who is also Housing and Local Government Minister, said some
of the selfish developers would give all sort of excuses and were
not ashamed to tell those raising funds that they did not have the
money.
“This is not a good example and I hope those who have not been
caring especially towards education projects will change their
attitude,” he said.
Ong said it was difficult for him to understand why some
developers were reluctant to donate to a project which would benefit
the people such as building a school.
“I am quite ashamed to know that there are some who even said
their business was not making money when they are actually making a
lot of money,” he added.
Ong commended thedeveloper of Taman Sri Saujana, Glomac Bhd, for
donating a 2ha plot of land worth about RM5mil for the project.
“I hope there will be many more caring company like this,” he
said.
