properties
NST 05/05/2004
THEIR smiling faces said it all. After having to wait eight years, 150 owners of residential and
commercial properties in Taman Kinrara's Section 2 finally got their
hands
on the Certificate of Fitness (CF) for their properties.
The CFs were presented by Puchong MP Lau Yeng Peng in a ceremony
held at
a multi-purpose hall in Taman Kinrara, Puchong recently.
"Although I regret the inconvenience caused by the delay, I am happy
to
be able to present these CFs to you today," he said.
"I also appreciate your patience and co-operation in putting up with
the
delay." Also present were Kinrara Assemblyman Dr Kow Cheong Wei and Subang
Jaya
Municipal Council (MPSJ) president Datuk Abd Hakim Borhan.
Lau said the delay in the issuance of the CFs had affected 86
residential property owners and 164 commercial property buyers.
"Today's ceremony is made possible after several dialogues involving
residents, the developer, MPSJ officers and local community leaders.
"All 86 residential units have been issued temporary CFs while MPSJ
supervised the level of work to be completed by the developer.
"However, only 65 units have been given permanent CFs today while
the
owners of the remaining 21 units are required to contact MPSJ's
planning
department and submit their applications for renovations and
modifications
done to their properties."
There are, in all, 338 commercial properties in Section 2 of Taman
Kinrara.
Lau said 164 units had been issued with permanent CFs in 1995.
"The remaining properties were issued with temporary CFs in 1996 as
the
developer has yet to complete the work," he said.
"We are only issuing permanent CFs to owners who have not undertaken
modifications to their commercial properties.
"Owners who have renovated or modified their properties are
requested to
contact MPSJ for clarification." |
