   KUALA LUMPUR: Residents of Taman
Sri Lempah flats at Lorong Jugra near Taman Desa
here are living in fear that a retaining wall of a partially-built
    town-house may collapse
    following a downpour.
Last night, a perimeter fence near the wall collapsed and cracks was said to
    have
    appeared at the retaining wall.

Resident Fadlishah Mat Derus, 29, said their worst fear regarding the
    project almost
came true with the collapse of the fence last night.

"The fence had titled on Tuesday and many residents were afraid to park
    their cars
    there," he said.

Fadlishah, an architect, is staying at a unit closest to the fence and
    retaining wall.

"My housemate and I have already packed some of our belongings and are ready
to move out if it rains agains," he said, adding that the fence collapsed
    about
7pm yesterday but for tunately not many residents were around at the time.

A team of firefighters arrived at the scene about 9pm and sealed off the
    affected
    area.

"Due to the fencing, I was unable to see the cracks on the wall. Now I can
    see it
    clearly," said Fadlishah.

Another resident, Lim Poh Choo, 50, said she was cooking when she heard a
    loud
    rumble about 7pm.

She said residents had taken precautions since the fence titled on Tuesday.

"We have already sensed that the fence might fall over,"said Lim.
