PROPERTY owners of
Fadason apartments in Jinjang Utara are a relieved lot. Their
two-year-old problem of compensation payout has come to an end.
The issue was over Fadason Holdings Sdn Bhd's
delay in handing over the low- and low-medium cost homes.
The 1,100 low-cost apartments were handed over in
September 2002 while the 728 low-medium cost homes were handed over
in April last year - a delay of between six months and a year.
MCA Kepong Public Services and Government Affairs
chairman Yee Poh Ping said though the buyers had to go through a lot
of hassle, they were relieved that it was finally over.
“The developers agreed to compensations of between
RM1,000 and RM4,000 following a meeting between the Housing and
Local Goverment Ministry's secretary-general and Fadason
representatives in August.
On Saturday, the buyers gathered at the housing
area to show their appreciation to Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting
for taking a personal interest in their problem.
