Developer’s project halted due to failure to build ramp

THE council has rejected an application by the developer of Bandar Mahkota Cheras to proceed with the project which has completed
its eighth phase of development.
MPKj councillor Datuk T.C. Choong said the application was rejected because the company had not built a ramp it was required to
build to link Jalan Cheras to the new housing estate located next to Bandar Sungai Long.
“The new township has caused congestions on the only access road to Bandar Sungai Long. They need to hand in the ramp’s draft as
soon as possible to restore works,” he said.
Choong said the company had postponed the ramp project because it would involve land acquisitions.
