SIN Heap Lee-Marubeni Sdn Bhd, the developer of Excelsa Apartments at
Taman Universiti Indah in Sri Kembangan has promised to take measures to
rectify residents’ problems, especially in security, water supply and
possible erosion.
The company’s director Christopher Ch’ng said the management would
consider the residents’ request for an automatic gate at the apartment’s
entrance.
A police beat will also be set up at an estimated RM100,000. The developer
will bear the cost.
Ch’ng met the residents at a dialogue over the weekend.
Present at the dialogue were Serdang MP Datuk Yap Pian Hon and Sri
Kembangan assemblyman Datuk Liew Yuen Keong while the residents’
association was headed by committee member Dr Hawa Jaafar.
Yap said he would check on the frequent disruption to the water supply and
appealed to Perbadanan Urus Air Selangor Sdn Bhd to take over the pump
house, the cause of frequent technical problems.
Liew urged Sin Heap Lee to engage engineers and seek assistance from
Subang Jaya Municipal Council’s Geology Department to conduct soil tests
on the hilly ground where the apartments were. The residents are concerned
over cracks that have appeared on walls and floors.
Excelsa Apartments has four blocks comprising 180 units. Residents moved
in in 1997.
