FEDERAL TERRITORY OF PUTRAJAYA (MODIFICATION OF STRATA TITLES ACT 1985) ORDER 2002

IN exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 6(4) of the Constitution (Amendment) Act 2001 [Act A1095], the Yang di-Pertuan Agong makes the following order:

1. Citation.

This order may be cited as the Federal Territory of Putrajaya (Modification of Strata Titles Act 1985) Order 2002.

2. Modification of the Strata Titles Act 1985 and subsidiary legislation made under it.

(1) The provisions of the Strata Titles Act 1985 specified in the Schedule shall be modified in its application to the Federal Territory of Putrajaya.

(2) The subsidiary legislation made under the Strata Titles act 1985 shall be read with such corresponding alterations as to names or titles as may be necessary to bring the subsidiary legislation in accord with the Strata Titles Act 1985 as so modified.

Provisions of the	Modifications
Strata Titles Act

The whole (except where	References to "State" shall be construed
expressly otherwise provided	as references to "Federal Territory of
hereinafter)	Putrajaya".

	References to "Director" shall be construed
	as references to "Director of Lands and
	Mines of the Federal Territory of
	Putrajaya" appointed under subsection
	12(1) of the National Land Code 1965.

	References to "State Authority" shall be
	construed as references to "Minister
	charged with the responsibility for land
	in the Federal Territory of Putrajaya".

	References to "planning authority" shall
	be construed as references to "Perbadanan
	Putrajaya".
	References to "local planning authority"
	shall be construed as references to
	"Perbadanan Putrajaya".

	References to "local authority" shall be
	construed as references to "Perbadanan
	Putrajaya".

	References to "Gazette" shall be construed
	as references to "Gazette of the
	Federation".

Preamble	Delete the word "and" after the word
	"Terengganu" and substitute with a
	comma.

	Insert the words "and the Federal Territory
	of Putrajaya" after the words "Kuala
	Lumpur".

Section 4	Insert after the definition of "Director of
	Survey" the following definition:

	' "district" in relation to the Federal
	Territory of Putrajaya means the whole
	area of the Federal Territory of
	Putrajaya consisting of an area as shown
	in the plan identified by reference to
	Plan No. P.P 2-2000 deposited in the
	office of the Director of Survey and
	Mapping, Selangor;'.

	Insert after the definition of "special
	resolution" the following definition:

	' "state" in relation to the Federal
	Territory of Putrajaya means the whole
	area of the Federal Territory of
	Putrajaya;'.

Subsection 5(4)	Substitute for the words "subsection 5(3)
	of the Constitution (Amendment)
	(No. 2) Act 1973 [Act A206.]" the words
	"subsection 6(4) of the Constitution
	(Amendment) Act 2001 [Act A1095]".

	In the national language text, substitute
	for the marginal reference "Akta A206"
	appearing against the words "Akta
	Perlembagaan (Pindaan) (No. 2) 1973"
	the words "Akta A1095".

Subsection 5(5)	Delete this subsection.
